Confession time: growing up, I was a complete Daddy's girl. I played favorites with my parents, and I wasn't subtle about it. Dad getting home from work was the most exciting part of my day, spending time with him my favorite activity.
As an adult, my dad is still one of my most important people in the world (though Mom is finally on equal footing with him). I can't list the number of ways that he has impacted who I am as a person or how he has shaped my life.
I say this to remind all you dads out there that you matter in your children's lives, maybe even more than you know. You make an impact. You are important and appreciated.
Happy Father's Day.
