Becoming a mom for the first time can feel pretty overwhelming, whether you were planning for it or not. Luckily, there are resources in our community to help you so that you don't have to feel so overwhelmed, and we've partnered with many of them to help you get connected.
The group I want to highlight today is the Nurse-Family Partnership. It's a national organization that has recently come to York County, designed specifically to help first time moms. If you sign up with them, a nurse will visit you in your home throughout your pregnancy and up until your baby is 2 years old.
Your nurse will be able to help you:
come up with goals and plans to meet them
have a healthy pregnancy
build a support system
make a plan to continue your education/develop job skills
Did I mention that this program is completely free? Because it is.
If you're interested in learning more about the Nurse-Family Partnership and whether you qualify, give us a call at 803-746-4946 and ask to talk to Sarah, our Client Services Coordinator, or email us.
